For me, fall consists of four things, and four things only: 1) Gilmore Girls marathons, 2) Folklore on repeat, 3) pumpkin cold brews from Starbucks, and 4) dressing like a Parisian all season long. There’s nothing that gets me going quite like throwing on an oversized sweater, wide-leg trousers, and my comfiest loafers to spend the day reading at a coffee shop. I’m on the hunt to revamp my fall capsule closet and thankfully, my go-to French boutique, Sézane, just launched their stunning seasonal collection.

Sézane offers high-quality, sustainable pieces that have that Parisian It-girl vibe I’m always trying to emulate. From striped cardigans to leather boots, they offer refined, sophisticated pieces that you’ll keep in your closet for years to come. Take a peek inside my autumn lookbook and see how I’m styling them this fall and beyond:

Cozy cardigan + flared jeans + mini hoop earrings + chain loafers

An air of effortlessness is absolutely key to achieving the perfect French girl-fall moment. And for that accidentally chic look that takes me 0.2 seconds to put together, I’ll be reaching for this chunky sweater and these wide-leg jeans all season long. Plus, these gold-accented loafers and mini hoops will be the perfect finishing touch for bringing this ‘fit to the next level.

Long sleeve bodysuit + plaid skirt + buckle heels + chain necklace

There’s just something about the crisp autumn air that makes me want to let out my inner Rory Gilmore with my fashion choices. Academiacore gets a French twist by trading sneakers for these dainty leather buckle heels and pleated tennis skirts for this refined plaid miniskirt. The simple chain necklace adds a luxurious touch.

Flowy top + wide-leg trousers + structured coat + leather boots

Here’s an outfit that’ll look like you’re dressing up, but will feel just as comfortable as your favorite matching set. Pairing the trousers with this ruffle top will help you pull off a nice, relaxed silhouette without looking too oversized. The structured coat makes this a memorable monochromatic moment which will make any getup look more expensive. Complete the outfit with tall leather boots that you can wear all day long–no matter the occasion.

Sweater dress + plaid blazer + pumps + statement earrings

Sweater dresses are a must-have staple during the cooler months and, with its high-neck turtleneck and delicate buttons, this one feels so European. While beautiful on its own, you can dress it up by throwing on this sophisticated plaid blazer and tall black pumps. Finish it off with a pair of statement earrings, like these gold dangly ones that I’m adding to my cart as we speak.

Chic sweater + straight-leg jeans + classic loafers + bracelet set

If I could narrow Parisian style into one outfit, this would be it. Throwing on a slouchy sweater, straight-leg jeans, plain black loafers, and a few gold bangles gives you an instant French vibe. This French girl outfit formula works for any event–from work to Thanksgiving dinner.
